را تشکیل می دهند، هیدروژن می باشد. در گذشته به موادی که ریشه گیاهی یا
حیوانی داشتند، مواد آلی می گفتند اما امروزه مواد آلی را می توان از طریق
روش های صنعتی و آزمایشگاهی و به کمک مواد معدنی نیز سنتز کرد.
